Ice skating at Winter Wonderland is a fun and festive activity—but it also comes with risks. All skaters skate at their own risk and must follow the guidelines below to ensure a safe experience for everyone.
Always listen to Ice Stewards and WWL staff
No littering
No entry onto the ice without skates
Empty pockets before skating
No bags, phones, cameras, or headphones allowed on the ice
No food, drink, or tobacco on the rink or dasher board walls
No tag or other games
No skating in chains (max 3 people holding hands)
No throwing objects, digging, chipping, or spraying ice
No carrying others—including children
No anti-social behavior, including:
shouting, swearing, spitting, fighting, vandalism, petting, bullying, roughness
No sitting or loitering—keep moving
Skate anti-clockwise only, unless directed otherwise
Maintain safe speed and control
Watch for other skaters, obstacles, or changes in ice conditions
Know your ability limits and skate responsibly
No skating while under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Those who appear impaired will be asked to leave
Leave the ice immediately when:
the session ends
resurfacing is taking place
directed by WWL staff
Do not engage in fights or confrontations—this behavior will not be tolerated
Do not sit, climb, or lean on dasher board walls
Children under 12 must be accompanied to the venue by an adult (18+).
Children under 6 must be accompanied on the ice by an adult (18+). Payment for both is required.
Bike helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads are allowed and encouraged
All skaters must remain in control and within their ability at all times
No skating under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing substances
Violators will be asked to leave the premises
The decision of the Ice Steward or WWL Supervisor is final
Access to the ice is at the discretion of WWL management
Violating these rules may result in removal from the premises without refund
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable
By entering the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink, all skaters and spectators acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of ice skating. These risks include, but are not limited to:
Falls and injuries caused by contact with other skaters
Injuries due to surface conditions or obstacles
Collisions or loss of balance
Skate at your own risk. VISAR and its partners are not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage resulting from participation in this event.
