Time of Call: 1155, time of launch: Auxiliary.
Local call came in to report a Captain had telephoned from his capsized boat. He and his family were on the north side of Anegada. The report was of at least 2 adults and 2 children. The VISAR personnel took all the details available and the cell number and passed them onto the duty coordinator. She in turn called the Captain to assess the condition of the stranded people. They were all well and sitting on the vessel. Due to the distance and the crew feeling able to wait, a local skipper was asked to launched and he in turn went out to assist the crew. The initial caller was contacted, given the good news and thanked for her assistance.
Local skipper had the group ashore and VIOSAR stood down at 0215
