USCG called in to the VISAR base to report a fire aboard a local charter boat at Cooper Island. Initial reports came in saying the fire was rising up the mast. A local salvage boat reported the fire under control and not as severe as first feared. The VISAR coordinator still launched crew as eyes on site for the USCG. Spirit came alongside the vessel and assessed the situation, reported back to the Coastguard and then returned to base at 1902
